Two New Abstracts

Here are two new paintings that I've completed over the last 2 weeks. I became a little tight with the marks in Bustle and reacted to that tightness with the next painting, Rumble, which has alot looser brushwork. The photo ain't the hottest, I'll admit. You'll have to trust me that it looks quite nice in person!
Bustle - Acrylic on Canvas -29"H × 42"W

Rumble - Acrylic on Canvas - 38"H × 65"W
Prints of these paintings are available on my abstract print site: www.abstractart-prints.com

October Funnies

Every month I peruse my sketchbooks and pick out a selection of humorous drawings that I compile into an email promo to send out to clients, friends and family. The drawings are crude and I do very little in the way of touching them up, aside from adding a little flat pshop color.. Here is this month's collection:

I Have a Blog!

This is a new endeavor for me, so I thought I would start out with with what I've been doing over the summer. Things were a bit slow assignment wise and I put a considerable amount of time working on my three new sites:

www.halmayforth.com

www.humorousprints.com

www.abstractart-prints.com

I spent every morning of the summer putting my art up on various online galleries, and doing SEO for my three sites. This was, of course, after my sketchbook drawing session. The afternoons I devoted to painting and had quite a productive season. All counted, I completed 20 paintings, rotating between small humorous paintings on wood, large abstracts on canvas and large conceptual word paintings on canvas. Here are a few of my abstract paintings that I am very excited about:

Pow Wow - Acrylic on Canvas - 29"H × 48"W

Telstar - Acrylic on Canvas - 29"H × 53"W
Mistral - Acrylic on Canvas - 25"H × 66"W
Strand - Acrylic on Canvas - 29"H × 53"W
Totems - Acrylic on Canvas - 30"H × 48"W
